yeah keep a joging at a certain pace and at the last lap at the end just sprint it,sometimes looking at the lines on the tracks helps, breath in trough youre nose and out trough youre mouth, and always remember to just keep youre legs moving no matter the pain or how dry youre troat feels,

dont try running as fast as you can. just get a good pace and try not to walk at all. also if you get a friend to jog with you it will keep your mind off running.if you get a bad cramp slow down to a fast walk.

by the way drinking water actually PREVENTS cramps it does not cause them.

i am on the volleyball team and i only have to run a quarter mile, because my coach says we are running for short term stamina, not long distance. (which makes sense since there isnt any long distance running in volleyball) there isnt much you can do to prevent cramps, just dont drink a whole lot of water before you run or you will definitely get them. there isnt anything you can do to make the running easier for you, since you are running it tommorow, but i would suggest starting off at a steady even pace, and then pushing yourself for the last bit and getting as much speed as possible. if you start off really fast and push yoursel too hard, it will be difficult to make it all the way through. good luck.
