ok so im not sure whats wrong with me and i don't want to go to the doctior unless i have too.
yesterday i woke up feeling very nauseous and i have a fever of 103. My throat was also sore. All my energy was drained from me i could barly get out of bed and when i would get up my head would throb for at least 15 seconds. When I wake up i have all this flem and gross saliva all over my mouth. Today my fever went down and my head hurts a little less but my throat is killing me. It hurts so much when i swallow that i barly drink anything. I also noticed that theres this white gunk on my tonsils and it looks like behind them on my throat. my nose is also a bit stuffed up too.
I really need to get better i am in the middle of my pre-season of field hockey and i really cant miss anydays i also have work, i called in sick today but i cant do that anymore
thx in advance for your advice sorry it was so long

I'm not trying to freak you out, so don't worry. A lot of illnesses have similar symptoms. For mono, I had the 100+ fever, flem & thick saliva, a headache, it killed to swallow, let alone eat, & there was white spots on my tonsils. To be careful & so you can play field hockey & go to work, you should probably go to see a doctor. You said you really don't want to, but for you to feel better you probably need some medication & you need to be diagnosed correctly. None of us on advicenators, other than a select few, are professionals in medicine. You should schedule an appoint, relax for a few days, get lots of rest, & drink a lot of fluids.

The cause of it could be viral. If this is the case it should go away by itself within two weeks. However, there is a chance that this could be a bacterial infection, which needs to be treated with a course of prescribed antibiotics.
I know you don't want to see a doctor but in order to get better in the fastest possible time and to ensure you don't have anything more serious, you really should make an appointment. [ rainbowcherrie's advice column | Ask rainbowcherrie A Question ]
