please dont pick at them. this will you give you scars. takeing a hot shower will help loosen pores and clean away all the dead skin. try using Clean and Clear, Deep Cleaning Astringent. it is the only facewash that helps me. you can get it at walgreens/walmart for like 4 or 5 bucks. wipe it on your face with a cotton ball every night before bed and you should see results within a week, maybe two.

Hot showers will open up your pores and is a great technique to use on a daily basis. However, every once in a while it is good to steam your face. This technique is not only good for removing blackheads but for detoxing the skin.

Pour some boiling water into a large bowel and with your face over it, place a towel over your head. You will need to do this for around 5-10 minutes. The steam will will feel slightly uncomfortable at first but if you take deep breaths, it can actually be very healthy and help to clear your lungs.

When you have steamed your face (or had a hot shower), gently pat dry your face. With clean hands (make sure you wash them first so as not to introduce any bacteria to your face), use the pads of your fingers to gently squeeze the blackheads. You may find it easier to wrap a piece of tissue around each finger you are using. If they don't come out easily then do not push it as you may exacerbate things. Just leave it and try again next time.

Blackhead strips can help but will not remove the hard to get ones. They can also leave your skin slightly sticky and dry.

Whatever you do, don't pick them. You could end up with scars and nasty red marks.

What you can do is boil some water and pour it into a bowl.

Put the bowl on your bathroom counter and shut the door.

Bend over so that your face is in the reach of the steam and wait until the water stops steaming.

It will then help make your pores open up.

Then, pinch your blackheads to remove them after steaming.

This should work for most people.

If it doesn't work, try the blackhead strips from Biore, those work pretty well.
