Its not because she was taken away from her mother too early. I took in a litter of 5 stray kittens at the age of 2 and a half weeks. i had to feed them with baby formula about 6 or seven times a day. thats beside the point.
The kitten may stratch because she was never taught not to scratch. if she attempts to scratch you get a water bottle. some poeple put vinegar in it. dont do that its bad for animals. if she trys to scratch or bite just spray her in the face, she will get spooked and run.
what you can also do is if she is just laying down sleeping somewhere just go over to her and see if letting her sniff you helps. my friends cat will scratch and bite me if i dont let her smell me before.
she may feel threatened for some reason.
as she gets older she will start to become more affectionate.
you can also talk to your parents about getting her declawed. people dont like to because they think its hurtful. but its actually helpful it teaches cats that not having front claws isnt necisary.

hoped my advice helped.
if you need anymore just leave
me a question.

I dont think you need to take her to a vet. That would be a waste of money because they wont do anything. Theres nothing wrong with the kitten, thats just her instincts. What i did with my kitten was i always kept a squirt bottle full of a mixture of water and vinager(about 3/4 water, 1/4 vinager). And every time she bit or scratched me when i tried to pet her, i would spray her once with it. After a little while, she associated biting and scratching me with the smell of the vinager and the wetness of the water, and stopped. You have to pick her up and pet her as often as possible, and yea, you'll come out with scratched hands, but it will pay off after a little while.

If your worried about the vinager hurting the kitten, it wont at all. It smells really bad for them and they hate the taste of it. So when you spray her with it, she will want to lick it off because it will smell bad, and then she'll have to taste it when she licks it off. So eventually, she'll accosicate biting and scartching with that taste and smell, and not want to do it again. If you dont want to do vinager, just do straight water. It will take a little longer to train her, but she wont like getting wet, so she'll eventually stop.

The most imporant thing with this is petting and picking her up very often and spraying her every single time she bites you so its consistant and she will learn.

good luck and have fun with your kitten=]

cats have this defensive instinct that anyone who isn't their mother is the enemy...because she probably was taken away from her mother too early she will be like this...try talking to a vet in your area or look for some websites for cat owners...just google it...just because you love her doesn't mean she knows that...it's just her instincts...i really suggest talking to a veterinarian.
