What are some good rock songs? As well as rap?
Also, I love the CD Linkin Park did with Jay-Z are there any CDs out there similar to that?

Definataly try Gym Class Heroes. Their second album As Cruel As School Children, is alot more mainstream and fun but their first album Papercuts is better if you want deeper lyrics.
Also, go a bit oldschool and listen to Run DMC. Especially the collaboration they did with Aerosmith on Walk This Way.

you miiiiight like hollywood undead. they are kind of different from your usual rap/rock stuff.
their lyrics are generally comical but they rap, sing, & whatever else there is to do when it comes to being an artist.
but here are some of my favorite songs;

all of akons songs (esp. sorry blame it on me, i wanna fuck you, bellydancer, don't matter)
cyclone; baby bash
white lines & red lights; between the trees
hate me; blue october (oldish)
breaking benjamin's (breath, diary or jane, sooner or later, & until the end)

the coldest heart; the classic crime
do the heisman on that hoe; dem heisman boyz

try random songs by gym class heroes.
& of course, t-pain. every song by that guy makes my panties fall off <3

i'd recomend the gym class heroes.
i love them. its like a rock beat with rapping.
but you have probably heard of them.
try buying their album and listening to some of their other songs.
