Thighs are squats and running the only effective way to loose weight on your thighs?

You could try leg lifts(I think that's what it's called)...It's where you lie on your (left) side and lift your (right) leg (about 10 times to start of with)...than you switch sides...I hope this works because running is more for loosing weight all over and squats are for losing weight on your butt area..lol.. ]
There are no ways to lose weight on your thighs specifically. All of the spot reduction stuff is nothing more than a very persistant myth. You can lose weight from your whole body, or not at all. Humans simply cant do it any other way (though genetics will affect if one area gets emphasised more than another).
Basically, squats build muscle and thats pretty much it. They are the best exercise for this purpose.
Running, like all cardio, burns a lot of calories. Thats great for weight loss, however not specifically from the legs or thighs. Of course, there will be no weight loss at all without a proper diet.
