HottStuff answered Sunday August 12 2007, 9:24 pm: I used to feel exactly the same way! Now I'm going into gr.10 and I realized that gr.9 wasn't a big deal. I remember as soon as I got into that school, everything was fine...and making friends was easy. Just don't worry about it because it's not as big a deal as you think. To make new friends, just talk to different people, smile alot, act friendly, and give compliments and you're good as gold!:D...It's a good thing that one of your friends is going with you...so than if she makes new friends than you can also try becoming friends with her new friends!
*Good Luck*

I just joined one club (tennis) that I really enjoyed so it was hard for me to make friends. What I suggest is make small talk with the people near you. Or at least come off as a pleasant person by smiling (not like creepy) and acknowleging people. People will be more drawn to someone who is open.

I barely know any of my middle school friends now and I'm a senior. Most of my best friends were from other schools.
