sick, but gained weight? i became sick from anesthesia, so i had nothing in my stomach for about a day. the next day i began to eat normally (maybe even a little less then usual). the third day i ate completely normal...how i usually eat. i weighed myself and i am FIVE POUNDS HEAVIER THEN I WAS WHEN I BECAME SICK. why would this happen? will my weight go back down to what it always is? is there an explanation for this?

When you don't eat your metabolism slows down. So then when you start eating again your body clings to every morsel of food and it doesn't naturally burn it off. I am not 100% sure on that, but Im pretty sure.. hope this helped ]
You may have turned fat into muscle, muscle weighs more than fat.
And be sure to weigh yourself in the mornings, that's when you have no water weight.
If all else fails, just try your regular exercise, 5 pounds ain't a big deal.
Hope this helps! ]
