my parents are giving me the opportunity to take music lessons. my options are guitar (acoustic or electric) or piano. the thing about piano is i took lessons from when i was 7-11. and my brother is studying to be a piano teacher in college, and he really wants me to take piano. when he comes home on the weekends, he gives me random ben folds songs or classical pieces to play. then the next weekend, he expects me to have them memorized.. i don't want to let him down so i try to work on them. so i'm decent at the piano, but i REALLY want to play the guitar. so i'm in between.
PLEASE help mee?
personal experiences,
like you took piano or w/e
thanks in advance

But that youll still practice the piano for the next time he comes. since you know how to play the piano i think you should take guitar.
Hope this helps!
luv,

I think since you've already taken piano lessons and your brother is able to teach you- you should take the guitar lessons. Its new and different for you- and it wouldn't be a waste of your parents money- especially if you can get free lessons from your brother.
If you want to take the guitar lessons- its your choice. Don't take piano lessons just to make your brother happy. Sometimes you need to make yourself happy!
katieneedsadvice answered Tuesday August 7 2007, 11:44 pm: Really it is what YOU want and think is gonna be the funnest and don't do it just because your brother says to or w/e. if you really like the guitar go for it! Same w/ piano.
I would chose guitar(after a while piano lessons get boring and guitar there is always something new.) i took both and i liked guitar better. But that is my personal expiriance. [ katieneedsadvice's advice column | Ask katieneedsadvice A Question ]
superstarblue89 answered Tuesday August 7 2007, 11:44 pm: Well I took piano for a long time and doing it helped make it easier for me to learn other instruments...I'm self taught on the guitar (acoustic), the cello, and the glockenspiel. Piano has a lot of advantages...but if your really interested in taking guitar take it instead. It's all really up to you. [ superstarblue89's advice column | Ask superstarblue89 A Question ]
