volleyballgamer answered Monday August 6 2007, 9:31 pm: Yes it does, I know this for a fact because last summer and this summer you put the lemon juice in your hair [where ever] you wash your hair out and dry it out then put the lemon juice in your hair and i found it works best if you sit out in the sun for about 10-20 minuets and then leave it in for a while then you can rinse it out and dry your hair and it should be lighter, also, after that, when i wash my hair after all the lemon juice normally the next day ill put the shampoo in my hands and then put a little dot of honey in it and let it go through y hair and then rinse it really good, then condition then when im all finished, my hair is blonder and smooth. You should try the honey thing sometime. hope something helped! good luck. :]]] [ volleyballgamer's advice column | Ask volleyballgamer A Question ]
advicer answered Sunday August 5 2007, 10:46 pm: I know it works on hair, so I'm assuming it would work on other body hairs. Actually, it depends on what color you hair is now. If its really dark, then it probably wouldn't work. I have light brown hair [well, actually its getting darker as I get older] but when I did it like two years ago it worked. I really wanted highlights but my school wouldn't let me, so I did lemon juice instead. I would really only recommend it if you have light colored hair, though.
Also, I wouldn't recommend sun-in. It made my hair orangish, and another girl I knew. I mean, if you want, you can try it.
And it really doesn't dry out your hair. Use a good shampoo and conditioner, and wash it soon after it's dry. [ advicer's advice column | Ask advicer A Question ]
o0okrissyo0o answered Sunday August 5 2007, 10:03 pm: just lemon juice probably wont give you the results you want. i used lemon juice in my hair this summer and over about a 2 month period it got a few shades lighter... but you have to be in the sun, like putting it on/in when you are tanning. just squeezing it on your hair wont really do anything. orphans answered Sunday August 5 2007, 10:00 pm: Yeah, it will lighten your hair but it probably wont turn blond. It really depends on your hair color. If you have dark hair you'll probably get a red-ish look. But being in the sun lightens your hair anyway. Lemon juice will probably dry your hair. I don't think it'll hurt to experiment with though. I just wouldn't want to dry out my hair.
You can try Sun-in. Get it at like Walmart and it'll lighten your hair too. It's alot better than the lemon juice. Won't dry out your hair and well...you won't have to put lemons in your hair lol. [ orphans's advice column | Ask orphans A Question ]
