ok sorry abotu the wrong category.. but i was wondering if like proactive really works? because im not sure if i should try it.. and i have like sesitive skin if that helps any.
ohh opps. i forgot something. (: it has alot of steps. well okay, 3. but it like can be confusing. i mean i think in the beginning i was doing it wrong. but yeah, i hated it. but, i think i made that pretty clear. =) & i literally used it for like 4 months. or longer. it didnt do anything, and if it did, it made it worse. i used clearisil before.. that worked alright? but im kinda like inlove with noxzeima, i love the tingle. (: ha. since you have really sensitive skin, i'd go to like a dermatologist. the stuff from there is really good. my friend used this stuff called differin, and it worked wonders on her face. queenhearts answered Sunday August 5 2007, 5:20 pm: I had very sensitive skin back when I was in middle school. Any products put on my face made my acne and skin surrounding it irritated. my face was like an angry red.
so i tried everything but proactive. once i did, it dried my face out like hell. in about a week, my skin was less red. your skin has to get worse to become better. it just seems to work that way with wounds. i'm not sure how long i used it, maybe less than a month and -before- i had very bad acne. my skin cleared up amazingly. i think i only had one zit left.
I'm not one for washing my face every morning and night. Because my skin was clear, I stopped.. which is bad because then your skin gets worse again. Sometimes, even worse than you started with.
So it usually works for everyone. For every skin type. You need to use it for a month to see results. Sometimes you see it sooner than others or even later.
i found out many girls at my school use this and they have clear, smooth skin.
all you need is a moisturizer to help with proactive drying your skin out.
if all fails in a few months,
a dermatologist will be a better help
they will most likely give you a cream medication to apply at night
fitted for you. [ queenhearts's advice column | Ask queenhearts A Question ]
baachan answered Sunday August 5 2007, 5:08 pm: It works for a lot of people, but I also have sensitive skin so it made my face turn all red and it took a day for the redness to go away. If your skin is REALLY sensitive like mine, I wouldn't use it and try to find a product for sensitive skin. You can go to a dermatologist and they'll give you something that's best for your skin. basketcase_x08 answered Sunday August 5 2007, 4:25 pm: Proactive is one of the more recommended brands of acne control. A lot of my friends have used it for a LONG time and it works wonderfully. It will dry your skin out some.. but all acne meds do that. after using it for a few days the dryness stops.
It didn't work for me though. my skin is terrible though I mean. TERRIBLE. Clearasil worked for me. but by all means try ProActive first. they're ranked higher. [ basketcase_x08's advice column | Ask basketcase_x08 A Question ]
