xomegaroni answered Wednesday August 1 2007, 9:23 pm:
Amoxicilian reacts with the mono. Originally, the doctors thought I had strep & they put me on it. It turned out that I have mono, not strep, & an allergic reaction occurs when you take Amoxicilian while having mono, causing a horrid rash. It was literally head to toe & spread all over. So definitely avoid it. Did you try all the sore throat remedies? Gargling with salt water? Eating hot/cold foods? Using throat drops? I would suggest going to the doctor after the 14 days if it persists.

-hope that helped!♥
