First time w/ a tampon

Question Posted Sunday July 29 2007, 10:04 pm

i'm 15, and i've never used a tampon before. i've had my period since i was 11. i'm just scared because i've heard it hurts and that some girls can't put it in. should i just suck it up and do it? what are the best kinds for first time users?

hey

the only girls who told you it hurts weren't doing it right.

if you do it right, you can't even feel it.

the first one or two times may hurt, but you just have to get used toit.

you have to put the tampon in farther than you think you should. believe me. it can't get "lost" in your body or anything like that.

don't use tampax. use playtex.

like the girl under me said, start with a thin, light one. like playtex slimfits.

girls can't put it in cause they're scared. you just have to put it in really far & you can't even feel it. when you walk, you should NOT feel it inside you. if you do, push it up farther.

yes, just suck it up & do it. believe me. pads suck. they are so messy & smelly & HORRIBLE. you can do so much more with a tampon, like swim, wear thongs, & no one will have any idea you have your period.

yes you should just try it
at first it is uncomfortable and you probally wont like it
pads arent bad though
you first might want to try the light tampons they wont hurt as much!
if you have any more questions ask me

The tampons dont really hurt. They may feel a little ackward at first but no pain. And if it does hurt maybe tampons just arent your thing. If inserted correctly you shouldn't even feel the tampon. If you decide to try it carefully read the directions in the box.Its always better safe then sorry. And the type doesnt really matter if your a first time user or not.It all depends on your flow.If you flow very heavy get the jumbo or whatnot.

hope i could help=]

you can try to use it. but it is true, for some girls it can hurt (not a lot, but a little..more so like unconfortable that acutalypain) .. it isnt the same for all girls, it all depends on your body. you can try it, and if it is unconfortable then just go back to pads..

the fist time i tried tampons, it did hurt me, and made me feel quite unconfortable... so i did not use them, i am older now and more experisenced and my body has changed a lot, and now it isnt so much unconfortable..

so best thing is,if you want to use them, try it and see how it feels with you and if you feel ok, then remain using them, but if you feel unconfortable, but just go back to pads =)

no harm in trying
