I know somebody who did her monroe herself, it got infected. I would not reccomend doing it yourself. You wouldn't want to end up with in infected =/

Don't do it by yourself. They will give you stuff to put on it after you get it pierced, and if you don't want it to mess up, have them do it. It's really not a lot of money.

for the rings, you use labret studs: [Link](Mouse over link to see full location)

^they have the back of it, so its not pointing into your gum or anything. You can get them anywhere really, jewelry stores. I even saw some at walmart, hahaa.

Just.. don't do it yourself. It's not a smart idea at all. Putting holes in your body is the type of thing where a professional with sterilized tools is needed.

Ok if I were you I wouldn't do it myself, you could cause it to get infected or pierce it wrong. I would get a professional to do it. They know what their doing and know what kind of tools to use and what to do if gets infected. I have no idea how to do it. In getting the right kind of ring? That's the kind of question you would want to ask the professional. I would maybe call or go to a piercing shop and ask them if they sell any.
