Wet 2 Dry Hair Straighteners Hey guys! So I was in walmart recently and I discovered wet to dry hair straighteners. I've seen ads in magazines for them before but they seem almost too good to be true. One of the two I found is called Wet 2 Style made by Remington for $25.47 and it looks like a normal straightener for dry hair. The other is called Infiniti Hair Designer by Conair for $49.94 and it looks like a comb with ceramic plates. I have several questions.
1. Is the more expensive one a better deal?
2. I dont want to have to use the wet 2 dry straightener and then have to go over it with my dry straightener. So, are Wet 2 Dry straighteners worth it?
3. I get phenominal results with my dry straightener. My hair is damaged yes from the heat but its very smooth and soft. Do wet 2 dry straighteners give the same effect?
Also if it matters my hair is thick, wavy, and frizzy. I had a chemical relaxer put on it back in June but it's still a bit frizzy. Basically I want to know if wet 2 dry straighteners are worth it and any experiences (good and bad) you all have had with them!
Thank You!

Both straighteners are horrible at straightening hair. Conair and Remington are the worst flatiron companies out there.
It looks like you are willing to spend $50 on a straightener, so I would HIGHLY recommend purchasing a GVP (Generic Value Product) straightener from Sally Beauty Supply. It's only $50 this month, and it's as good as the CHI (that's pretty good!).
I've bought Conair, Remington, and GVP brand flatirons. GVP is by far the best brand. I ended up returning the Conair and Remington ones.
Typically, wet-to-straight flatirons do not straighten wet hair. They are just a waste of time. ]
I have the Remington Wet2Straight straightener. I've used it with my hair when it was wet I think once, and I got sucky results. It does NOT make your hair stick straight and smooth, it makes it puffy and takes a long time to even make it work good. It'd be quicker just to blow dry your hair and then straighten it - plus you'd get better results. It works good when my hair's dry, though. I think that basically any wet/dry straightener will have the same results. I don't have any experience with the other kind of straightener, so I don't know if it works well. ]
I have one. I think it's the Remington. It works great and I have thick hair. I always use it on the highest it will go, even when my hair is dry, but I think it might be better if I would put it on a lower setting. ]
yeah
wet to dry straighteners suck.
i have two striaghteners
one was about 100$ and its a chi
and the other one is about 30$ and its a vidal sassoon
personaly i use the 30$ every single day
ive maybe used the 100$ about 5 times.
i dont think the more expensive the better the straightener is
i think it just is how youre hair works with it and the type of hair you have
so hope i helped a little? ]
I've heard that Wet 2 Dry straighteners suck. I really recommend Chi straighteners. They are more expensive (anywhere from $99-$150), but they are well worth it. My mom and I both have Chi's and even though my hair is naturally straight/relaxed, I use it to straighten my ends. My Mom's hair gets really wavy after she takes a shower so she blow dries it and uses her Chi and it works really well.

You can take a look at the online beauty supplier store, Folica, and you can find the different Chi's and read other people's reviews.
I would also suggest visiting your local State Beauty Supply/Sally Beauty Supply and taking a look at the different Chi's available.
Hope I helped! ♥ ]
