ok google made this website called
blackle
www.blackle.com

its a websearch (same thing as google)
exept its suppost to conserve energy???
it says it saves watts.

how does it do that?
how does useing blackle insteed of google (made by same companys [[google]]) save energy and Watt hours saved???

It's a money-making scheme for them. When you search with them, you're searching with Google, but they get some money. It's not run by google, it just uses their custom search engine:

Black uses less energy on CRT(big, old) monitors. It uses a very small bit *more* energy on flat screen monitors.

Yet, some people say that on Wikipedia, anyone can edit the information.. so I don't know if that's true..
