Small chance. Doubt it'll happen since it's your first offense. They'll will fine you, tell you that next time the fine will be bigger and you might have to do community service.
Blah blah blah.
Nothing too bad. ]
There is a chance, but I doubt they will. They'll probably make you pay a fine, and if they don't, they could make you do community service. I doubt they'll do anything major. Just tell the truth & accept what they give you. ]
Hey. I'm not going to lie, there is a good chance you could lose your license, especially since your a new driver. However, if you tell the truth and are respectful, the judge/jury may be sympathetic and let you off with a warning or fine. I wouldn't worry about it as long as you know that you shouldn't speed again and that you let everyone involved know.♥ fabulous ]
I don't think you will lose your license. If Rhode Island is anything like Michigan [where I originate]- then you will merely get points on your license. I don't believe I've ever heard of anyone getting their license confiscated by the court for a speeding ticket- especially if its your first ticket ever. However- if Rhode Island is like Michigan- then your parents have the right to revoke your license until your 18th birthday. If they are strict- there is the possibility that they could do that.
Just try to follow the speed limit! =]
Asking your parents if your license will be revoked would be a good idea.. I'm sure they know your state's laws.
