I'm in San Diego on vacation for two weeks. I've been planning on getting my cartilage pierced while I'm here. I've also almost managed to talk my mom into letting me get a little stud in my nose. Here's my question:
Will anyplace let me get both piercings at the same time? If not, how long would I have to wait to get the other one? If it's more than a week, is there a way to get around the rule, like going to two different places to do it? Is there any way they would know that I had one piercing done not too long ago?
Ok, so that was more than one question, but I don't want any problems.
Additional info, added Sunday July 22 2007, 12:29 pm: Also, my sister has her cartilage pierced so I know what that's like, but I haven't spoken to anyone about a nose piercing. Has anyone here gotten one? How bad is the pain? How long does it take to heal? Any problems after getting it done?. Want to answer more questions in the Miscellaneous category? If it is then just go one day to one salon and another day to another! They'll never know.
I have so many holes on my body, I've lost track but I don't wear all of them.. they're just fun to have the option haha. Anyways, a nose piercing is a little bit for painful then a cartilage (not to say that the cartilage is painful it's just like an irritating sensation.) It itched a lot so if yours itches, don't scratch it! You can change the ring after 3 months so i'm guessing thats how long it takes to heal.
The only problem is the aftercare.. like cleaning it. Because you have to wash it with the special soap on the inside and outside of your nostril. yours is most likley going to be provon, if not then just ask what soaps they recommend. they usually sell them there. You also have to do the salt water soak which they will tell you about there. If they don't, then send a private question to me. [ ImFakingHotPink's advice column | Ask ImFakingHotPink A Question ]

As for the nose, make sure you get it pierced with a NEEDLE!!! Why? Lower risk of infection, it's much more quicker than the gun [guns are made for the ears, which are thinner than your nose, thus it may take more than one try to actually get a piercing through] it hurts less [only studs can be used with the gun and the stud will be brutal since it will be forcing itself through such a thick layer of skin & besides, needles are sharper], and the needle will make the piercing more exact than the gun. And the nose usually take 8-10 weeks to fully heal. Don't mess with it. Don't touch it. Don't take it out. Just don't make any contact with the stud except for cleaning! If you leave it alone, clean it like you're suppose to, and let it take time healing, you'll be fine.
