how do u know if u have a phobia of something?
Are there like symthoms. And any ways to get rid of it?

Teenagerr answered Saturday July 21 2007, 2:25 am: You know if you have a phobia of something if you're overly nervous/afraid of it. If, when you think of it, you break a sweat or get really scared, then you've got a phobia. A phobia is just a basic fear and everyone gets them. There aren't really "symptoms", but if you get really anxious, nervous, or are basically just extremely scared of whatever it is, then there's a big chance you have a phobia.
The only known way to get rid of a phobia, as some people say, is to face that fear. You might as well, because I'm sure if you try to, it won't be as bad as you think. After all, you only have one life, might as well take those kinds of chances. Also, if you're going to face it and are still too scared, have someone there with you while you do.

But yeah, you can get rid of it. I 'was' scared of dogs but not anymore, I overcame that fear.

if there is anything you are scared of, most likely there is a phobia for it. there are TONS of phobias. go to this page for a great list. [Link](Mouse over link to see full location)
or just google phobias or phobia list and you will get plenty of websites with phobias on it.
also, i am probibly the most common, claustrophobia - the fear of confined spaces.
i get really freaked out and start breathing hard in small spaces and stuff.
