is there any way to heal a small cavity without going to a dentist? i'm going to one, i just DREAD having to go through the process of getting it filled, because i've never had one before.
uisforukelele answered Thursday July 19 2007, 11:09 pm: no, you can't heal a cavity yourself. it's really not that bad. it would probably be a good idea for you to take an ipod or cd player or something and listen to music while they do it. of course, they will numb you so you won't be able to feel a thing! i actually love going to the dentist because it makes my mouth feel weird when it's numb. i guess that's kind of stupid, but it's really not as bad as you think it is :) [ uisforukelele's advice column | Ask uisforukelele A Question ]

You're whole tooth can rot out and cause an infection - and not kidding, you can die from this. A 12 year old boy just died this year in Maryland from an abscessed (infected) tooth because he couldn't afford to go to the dentist (check out Fox News archives if you don't believe me). Dentists have come a long way and the procedure is painless. [ dearL's advice column | Ask dearL A Question ]
XSugarPieX77 answered Thursday July 19 2007, 11:05 pm: Theirs no way to heal a cavity unfortunately. I've only had one cavity in my life, and I was scared at first too. Their is NOTHING to be scared of, its not painful to get it filled at all. My Uncles a dentist, so he told me all about it before I got it done. You can prevent getting cavitys bye not drinking a lot of soda and eating a lot of junk food. Of course you can still eat/drink that kind of stuff, but make sure its not a ritual diet thing you do. Hope I helped! Good Luck, I'm sure it'll be fine.
