Try those first -- start out using them once a day, then gradually two/three times a day. Try laying out in the sun two/three times a week for at least thirty minutes also. Drink lots of water -- it helps get the toxins & stuff out. Other than that, I don`t think food affects it. For some people it does, but for most -- it doesn`t.
If those things don`t work, you should probably go to your dermatologist & they`ll prescribe something stronger for you.
solidadvice4teens answered Thursday July 19 2007, 7:12 pm: You should see your family doctor. They can look at your skin and perhaps refer you to a dermatologist. Your family doctor may be able to prescribe as well as give you sample tubes of medication that destorys the stuff that causes zits and keeps them from returning.
The problem with over the counter products for acne is that they cannot treat severe cases at all. These products like OXY and Clearsil don't have any medication in them and that's what gets to the core of the problem and eliminates it.
I recommend that to you. It doesn't matter much what you eat be it chocolate, soda etc. some people are just prone to bad acne. If you see a dermatologist or family doctor in a few days you'll notice things clearing up as the medication quite literally burns and eats away at what causes severe acne.
