I think you're just talking about having a layout. You don't HAVE to use the themes. All you have to do it click on blogrings at the top of the xanga homepage, and then type in 'Layouts'. You should get a bunch of group names, click on one, and there should be a ton of sites to choose from. Just find a layout that you like, copy the code, then go back to your xanga. Click on 'Look & Feel' on the left hand side. Go to 'Header' on the drop down menu select 'Input your own Header HTML'. Paste the layout code in there and save it.
