10 lbs shouldn't be extremely difficult, but you need to be focused and willing to do it. First off, don't deprive yourself of anything. It will only make things worse & your diet would most likely fail. You can eat anything you want to in moderation. If you are seriously craving cake, eat a small piece of it. People make it a lot more difficult than it should be. Small desserts/greasy food here & there is not going to make you gain weight. You gain weight when there's extra fat stored in your body from constantly eating unneccessary foods. Here are a few tips-

1. Always eat breakfast. You will actually store fat if you don't. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Have cereal with fruit, oatmeal, toast with jelly, half of a bagel, granola bars, etc.
2. Try eating 2+ servings of fruit and veggies a day. At least make 2 servings your minimum.
3. Eat before 8 pm. That way you can burn calories while you sleep, not store them.
4. Exercise a few times a week. Go for a run, jog, go walking, jump rope, climb stairs, swim, play a sport, etc.
5. Either eat 3 full meals or 5-6 small meals.
6. Snacking is okay to do. Don't go overboard. Try 100 calorie packs, fruit, veggies, cheese, crackers, etc.
7. Always watch what you put on foods. Don't use extra sugar/salt. Try not using a lot of butter or any at all.
8. Protein will help you lose weight. Try eating peanut butter, chicken, milk, eggs, etc.
9. Don't starve yourself. It will make things a lot more difficult. When you are hungry, eat.
10. Stay focused & determined. Have a friend help you with exercise.

If you stick to those, you'll most likely be very successful. Also, only weigh yourself once a week. Its a lot more accurate. Here's a website-

That will help you decide how many calories you should intake daily to keep you on track.

-hope that helped!♥

I heard that if you do the same thing everyday you don't lose weight from it. So maybe try different things every once in a while. Go to the gym with some friends or do some swimming.
