Okay, I want a guitar really really bad but I don't want to ask my parents or brothers because they'll laugh at me. I just want a basic not electic guitar.. Where would I go to get one because i have like 125 dolars in the bank but i haveto keep 5 in it so really i have 75 but i just started saving if i empty it now.. it would show im irresponcible and cant handle money.
What Do I do??
LM answered Tuesday July 17 2007, 5:45 pm: I got a brand-new acoustic starter kit at a local guitar place for around $100, and electric was about $20 more. It came with everything I needed. I bet you could get a used one even cheaper, check Guitar Center or something like that. Or even someone you know, you could buy one off them if they're done with it.
If you're teaching yourself [lessons are $15 each and UP] get one of those books with a CD to play along with. They really do help.
Oh and my amazing friend Jake [original] told me about this site [I have an Alvarez that I really should play more, and I use this site to tune it]

^ It tunes more than bass, btw.
Oh, and get a lot of picks. I get the cheap ones by the register and they work great. Get a couple really thick ones too, if you can find them. They won't break as easily.

Funny thing was, I was on Ebay at like 2 in the morning and got a nice acoustic guitar(not electric), for 99 cents. Yes, 99 cents. It is one of the best guitars I have played. It usually sells for about 100-200 dollars. It was a good deal. Check out Ebay. You can go to Best Buy, they have them, suprisingly. Try those:] [ ASAPcamille's advice column | Ask ASAPcamille A Question ]
