As far as coping with the discomfort, you have many options here. It's well known that regular physical activity helps reduce the cramping in some women, so there's an idea. You could also try taking a warm bath and using aromatherapy. Applying a heating pad on your lower abdomen or back should do wonders. If you don't have a heating pad, you can make one by simply filling a sock with rice and heating it in the microwave for a few minutes [must sound silly, but if the cramps get bad enough, it just might be worth it]. Also, many women start taking pills around the clock from the time their cycle starts, until it ends. Any pain killer will do, but I reccommend Ibuprofen, Extra Strength Advil or Midol - it's also best to take medication will a meal, that way the risk of stomach discomfort is slimmed.

Now, I am not a doctor, but you haven't given me any reason to assume that anything out of the ordinary is going on. Cramps and bloating are common, but unfortunately everyone feels them at a differing degree. If you feel like you are in more and more pain as time goes on, I suggest you tell a parent. They will be able to judge whether higher medical care is needed.

Oh yes, totally normal. Infact-- I'm jealous if you don't tend to have pms, because I do, and it's totally not fun. :[
Try to avoid salty foods, you might want to take some midol, use a hot water bottle if you need to.
Every month'll vary for a little while.

your normal.

it happens to me one month the pms is non existant but the next month is really bad. take some midol and avoid salt and soda (the sugar, caffiene, and salt make cramps and bloating worse i'v been told). Get used to having weird pms ... it will be different each month.

Midol will be your best freind!
