Well if your hair is just naturally then I suggest straightening it one night then put a bunch of braids in it, sleep like that, then in the morning take all the braids out.

When i want wavy hair (i have straight hair), when it's wet i brush it straight so there's no knots then use a mousse that has felxible gel in it and scrunch my hair up and let it dry naturally and don't touch it again, then it stays wavy and not curly.

well if your hair is naturally curly try straightening your hair on a low level on your straightener it makes it wavy.
if your hair is straight try putting mousse in your hair, but a little bit.
