i'd say so. actually, i traveled to australia for only three weeks last summer, and i started to pick up the accent. my family was kind of weirded out when i got home, but basically you talk like the people you are around. so if you listen to british people talk, you should pick up the accent. ]
You would be able to pick up most of the accent but there would probably still be little signs that you're not a native to the country.
Americans, Australians etc who have come here to live, still have enough of their original accent for us to be able to hear where they are from. It also depends on how good you are at adapting, as some people who have been here for years still don't have a British accent. Then again, there is no actual British accent, we have different dialects from all around the country, as do you in the US.
But don't worry about it, we love to hear different accents and it's a great place to live. ]
Sure, why not. Madonna did it. She has lived in England so long she has picked up a British accent. Can't help it really. If you live there long enough. It's all you hear all day, so yes you will pick it up
