I'm 19 and I don't feel like I know how to have any fun anymore. I used to party every weekend, have a small group of friends I'd always hang out with & be able to make new ones so easily. But over the past year, many of those friends moved, became distant and not the type of friends you want to have. So basically, the only friend I have left is my boyfriend. That's not the only problem. It's way too hard for me to make any friends anymore because I'm not in school anymore. I work full time and all the people I work with are much older than myself. I am not in any environment where I can meet someone somewhat close to my age. I've tried making friends with my boyfriend's huge group of friends and I think they are pretty cool people. But I feel like it's too hard to approach anyone. It's almost like I don't know how to socialize or make friends anymore. I don't know what the problem is. I just wish I had a group of friends to hang out with like most people. Any help on overcoming whatever my problem may be?
Additional info, added Sunday July 8 2007, 1:57 pm: I will be starting school in a month, so that'll give me a chance to be around people my age. But how do I approach those people as well? This is LadyH by the way. Thanks guys!. Want to answer more questions in the Relationships category? Just give them simple conversation. And when it seems like their an interesting person, then be like O well what do you like to do? O maybe we should go do that one day. Dont ever g up to a whole group of people either. Catch someone when they are alone, and they will eventually introduce you to others. [ khadiya's advice column | Ask khadiya A Question ]
