It depends on the vitamin. If it is a water soluble vitamin it will just come out when you pee. If it is a fat soluble vitamin it can be potentially harmful to your body.

Vitamin C is what helps your immune system and people back in the 60's decided that taking Vitamin C tablets will make them healthier. Your body can only hold so much of it, so when your body is full of it's vitamin C, you just pee out the rest of it that your body didn't need. ]
Yes you can, and it depends on what it is. With some vitamins, you can take so many to give yourself a boost that your body actually stops making it for itself, and you have to rely on it. ]
