IM conversations
me and this guy i like talk every once in a while on IM and we always end up saying 'so....' then we like dont talk again until one of us has to go, i always try bringing up stuff but it never lasts long, any ideas to keep the conversation going?

I just say random things.
Ask him what music he's into or something.
Ask about his day, and how he's doing.
Just don't say "so..."
Just say whatever comes into your mind. haha.

I always go to joke websites and tell them jokes.
It always works.
OR..
Try bringing up that you guys always run out of things to talk about.
That is a conversation all in itself.

his plans for that weekend, and maybe you two could figure something out to do together
music you like
new movies you have seen/want to see
gossip about other kids from school

Sometimes when the conversation is dead i send them a link of a funny site or someones myspace or something and the conversations start up again.
If that doesn't work then maybe talking about movies or music or somehting.

That has happend to me beforee, so just keep trying to start conversations to get to know each other. Make jokes, be funny. Once yall know each other well enough he will break out of his shell.
