being the new kid.

Question Posted Monday July 2 2007, 3:53 pm

Im 14 and next year I will be going to a new school next year, and I don't mean as in highschool. So pretty much everything will be super new to me. I really want to make good first impression so that I can meet a lot of new people. The thing is, im really shy, and its only around new people, not people like my friends who i can act crazy with. I'm extremely nervous, and I feel really pressured into giving first impressions and coming off as friendly because that what everyone is telling me to do. I know I should just be myself, but still, I have to get out of my comfert zone just a little bit, don't I? How do I do that? I really need some tips, and if you were ever a new person, please let me know how it is! Thank you so much<33

I would do your best to act like how you do when your with your friends. It may be hard, but if they never meet that side of you then they may never put in the effort to get to know you...then later you can act crazy for real. I'm not trying to say act unlike yourself, i just think if you seem quiet people might not get the chance to meet the realy you.

Hallie?
:D
Well just try going up to a group of people, act like you don't know where you are.
Or like talk to people that aren't talking to anyone.
They probably feel the same way you do.
Just don't worry about it.
