Okay so I liked my friend Nick all last summer and parts of this year. We had stopped talking whenever I didn't like him, but the other day I was like I miss you we haven't talked in forever and hes like yeah are you going to my baseball game tomorrow? and I told him I would, so I went and it was delayed when I got there, and I was about to leave but he saw me and he goes HEYY MELISSA!!! so I decided to stay because they started playing, and he got a run so I texted him and was like
me: goodjob nick(:
and then it got delayed again, so I left, but the game got cancelled so he answered me
nick: ha no I did really bad pitching
me: no you did a good job, and I say your good so thats all that matters :]
nick: yeah whatever :]
me: did you hear me scream?
nick: no why did you scream?
me: because my hair was so messed up from the rain
nick: oh ha I didn't get a good look at you
me: oh be lucky you didn't
nick: why do you say that
me: nick you've never thought I was pretty.
nick: naww, I think your cute.. deece ha.
And that is a plus because he never thought I was cute he would always just say deece, and he isn't the type that will say that to make you feel better about yourself or anything.
So anyways, I went to this dance and he was there and he came over and was making fun of me because of how short I am, then he had a lollipop in his mouth and I told him I wanted it so I took it and he didn't care at first but I didn't put it in my mouth because I had gum, so then he started fighting me for it and I gave it back and he was like WHORE YOU DUMP MY FRIEND IN A DAY! and I was like Nick I didn't like him you know that.. You knew I liked you and he walked away and then Get Low came on and I was dancing and he said I dance crazy ha and he called me a whore again so I slapped him. Then whenever I would look at him he would come over, and my friend Taylor started grabbing his butt and balls and she tried to steal his lollipop too but he didn't let her take it, and then he told me she was pissing me off and to slap her but I wouldn't. Then a slow song came on and he said I NEED SOMEONE TO DANCE WITH! And his friend Ben was like I WILL! so they did jokingly, and then I had to leave so I gave him a hug, and I started to walk away and he goes have you ever wanted to be tall? and I said yeah so he picked me up and held me for awhile until my friends were finally like awl mel we have to leave, so we started to walk away and he came so I asked if he was leaving and he said No I'm saying bye to T and so we were waiting to get stuff and I stood by him and I was looking at him and he asked what I was looking at and I said nothing and laughed and walked away.
I was texting him when I came home and I was like
Sorry for slapping you tonight I feel really bad
Nick: no its okay I'm used to, that was a solid punch I'm proud of you :]
me: ha thanks I could have slapped you harder but I didnt want to hurt you or anything
he said something i forget ha but he made this smiley like (::)
me: what is that?
nick: a double back to back smiley
me: did you make that yourself?
nick: yes
me: ha goodjob wanna cookie?!
nick: yup i do!
me: haha cookies sound really good right now imma make us some, dudee tonight was fun sorta, I miss hanging out with you
Nick: okay? do you like me now?
me: do you like me?
Nick: yeah
me: no you don't
Nick: yeah I know sorry ha, but do you likey me
Me: i dunno I thought I did but it's just pointless because were just friends and I sort of like someone else but they are being gay
Nick: oh okay well i gotta go forreal my phone is flashing up low battery bye bye.
I haven't talked to him since and that was Thursday, I tried to text him but I did at like 2 in the morning so he was sleeping and then I did last night at like 10 PM, but he never answered. And today[July 1] is his birthday.. So I probably will text him and say Happy birthday but I'm not going to text him until Thursday because I don't want to get annoying. But what do you think I should do? And do you think I actually have a chance this time, because I think he likes me? Thanks!

i dont think that he would ever intentionally hurt you or try to lead you on but the truth is that i dont think he really likes you. i think that he sees you as a best friend. i always liked my best friend so much and i wanted him to like me back. he always made it seem like he did like me and everyone told me that we should go out. the only problem is that he never really liked me. what i just read sounds like what my friend would say to me.
I know all of this isnt exactly what you want to hear. but Nick cares about you. youre probably one of the most important people in his life and im sure he misses you too. the best thing for you to do is to talk with him. if you dont want to talk about it then just try to move on. hes gonna keep leading you on until you move on. wish you the best. and anything you need im here for you.

I agree with the person below me. He's playing games with your head.
And I think its always better when the boys come to you, that way there's no chance of you getting rejected or hurt. Don't chase him. Caring too much isn't cute.

You might to need to just be his friend. Seems like he cant make up his mind and he likes to act an ass in piblic.
Tex him and tell him happy birthday and dont worry about him texing back. Then Dont tex him anymor, ANYMORE AT ALL. until he texes you. Then you will know if he is being nice or if he likes you.
