Does using lemon juice in your hair damage your hair.

my mom told me it dries out hair big time, maybe it's just the lemon juice she used or something, idk.

but i hear if you use it plus highlighting conditioner with it it makes your hair extremely shiny, and you can wear it like that, lathered in conditioner and all, to the beach and what not.

I did it, and it didn't damage my hair at all. I guess if you use it constantly, it could a bit. But like the other person said, use good shampoo and conditioner and you'll be fine.

It can have a slightly drying effect on it, so you should ensure it is well washed out and follow it with a good conditioner.
