my ex
ok so me and my ex broke up. (obviously haha) but yea, so sometimes i talk to him on aim. and he says that his life is messed up and stuff and he says he misses me. but he never calls me or writes to me on aim its always me first. i cant call him because i dont have his new number and i wont ask for it. but anyway yea so he always says that his life is messed up and he sounds depressed. what should i tell him? what should i do? i miss him so much.

His life probably is messed up but he also wants you to feel bad too.
He is your EX for a reason.
If he doesnt show you the attention that your showing him (I.E. you initiating everything first..) then He is full of crap.
If he really missed you why doesnt he give you his new number so you and him can talk?

He could just be lonely and want someone to be there for him right now. Offer to go somewhere with him to talk about what's going on in his life. Be a good listener and let him dump out his problems. That'll make him feel better and think of you better. If you don't want to ask for his number, that's fine, just make sure you find a way to talk to him. If he says anything else about his life being "messed up", then ask him to explain what's going on.
He'll like you more, and feel much better about things. :]
