Im not familiar with it, so im not sure. If you want to tell me what type of dance in a message to my inbox, i probably could help a lot more. Anyways, im still gonna give this question a shot. Why dont you ask one of your GOOD friends (that will not teach you the wrong things or make you look bad) to help you out. You know just teach a few dance steps to you and a few do`s and donts. Also watching music videos on you tube or just mtv could help. Also "so you think you can dance" or any other dance shows like that could help a bit. If POMS is a dance squad(which is what it sounds like)I think I should be able to help you! First make sure your in shape. Runinng like half an hour everyday around your area is good for staying fit. Next see if you can find any of their performances n tape. Lots of people vidoe tape these sort of things. If you can't do that go to one of their performances armed with a notebook and pencil. Take notes on what sort of moves they do and try mimicking them. If you used to dance try those moves, too. If you think you have a few good moves down really well mix them together to form a short dance. Practice a lot so when you try out your confident. Their probably looking for people with extra abilities too so if your flexible try doing the scorpion(wher you bring your toe to your head-forming a circle)and backbends. Or if you think you're a good at tumbling practice your cartwheels, round offs, and handstands. If you google high school dance squad you can find information on camps, clothing, and even watch some temas routines! Good luck I hope you mae the team.
