Diet is key in losing stomach fat. Try a diet with a good amount of diary, protein, whole grains/fiber, fruits and veggies. Eating things like these will help you lose weight by boosting up your metabolism, which will burn the fat.
Secondly, exercise is key. One way to lose stomach fat (which I've done in the past) is to start walking and/or jogging. The cardio will most defintely help you lose the fat since it burns calories. You might hit a plateau (a phase where your body adapts to your workout routine) so you'll want to increase your work out by 10%. Say you do 30 minutes a day usually, you'll need to do maybe 33 minutes, so on and so forth. After you lose some of the stomach fat you'll want to do crunches afterwards to build up your stomach muscles since muscle burns fat.
You'll notice results from the cardio and the diet in 2 weeks in your stomach. It's going to be rough and all but stay on the diet and do the cardio. It'll be beneficial since you will see the results. Keep at it too. After you lose the stomach fat you'll want to do crunches afterwards to build up your stomach muscles.

Britney Spears (when she looked great) did 1000 crunches a day and that was her workout and she looked amazing. If you start out doing 100 crunches throughout the day (not all at once) you will see results really quickly. Then slowly increase the amount that you do. But don't do them all at once because you aren't going to want to ever do them again. It's important that you drink water (I know lame) but it really helps. The more water you drink the easier it is to loose weight or tone up. Try eating your sweets, sugars in the morning so you have the entire day to burn it off. Also I love to dance and dancing helps build solid abs and tones as well. If you don't like to drink water then you can try crystal light products. There is lemonade, teas, ect. They are 5 calories per a glass and I think they taste great! :) Good luck! :)
