how do you get parakeets to make some eggs? there are two couples in my big cage but nothing ever happened. its been years.

do you have a nesting box for them? if you want anything to happen, you need to have a nesting box for each of the pairs. you also shouldnt keep the pairs in the same cage together, seperate them into two cages. are you sure there is two males and two females? there are tons of factors to look at when breeding birds. you should take them to a vet and see if they are breedable, health, and all that. this website, [Link](Mouse over link to see full location), is very helpful.

well, are you sure you have 2 males and 2 females? also you need a nesting box, and fill it with some sort of material. also, enough green veggies or it wont mate, because in the wild, they mate when theres an abundance of green leffage. helps to read up so google "parakeet mating" and get out a book or two, they can go in further detail-detail i cant be bothered to go into :) hope i helped
