Well, if you love them, you want them to chase their dreams and be happy, right? That's why you have to let them go to do that. But it's also said that if they love you, they'll come back. Which means that even though they have found happiness, they want to share it with you.

maybe it's because you love (them?) or whatever so much you realize it's for the best.
and also maybe i have a weird habit of like almost punishing myself, so see if your doing it for a good reason or just because you cant handle the passion for this person or whatever that you want to give up because its emotionally difficult.
