fast life
hi friends, well i am in a country which has been rapidly developing over the years. people here are more ambitious nad have become more materialistic, change has been drastic. but here i am who is not ready to change. i don't hate money and good life but i am not very much mad about it, thanks to my family upbringing. i sometimes feel odd man out in this world, my views and obnjectives different from the crowd, how do i embrace this globalized world's changes. some one who has seen his country rapidly transforming should be able to give me proper advice. thank you

The world is constantly changing and developing and people either embrace the fact of this happening or they don't. Its your own personal choice, you don't have to be like everyone else and your own personal views on how you want to live are up to you. Everyones different and has different views and perceptions on things so your never the odd man out. Being different from the mainstream crowd is what makes each one of us unique. It's ok to accept other people want to change but you don't have to change yourself. Is it really going to hurt if you decide to stay the same? Embrace your individuality instead! im the same way, just remember your not alone theres alot of people who arent materialistic either if you feel really strongly about it do something like run a campaighn or something to show materialistic people how much other things count and show them stuff like people starving to death in Africa and youd be suprised how many people agree with you and your beliefs, and no matter what do not compromise your feelings for the beliefs of others

I am the same way. I am totally not about materialism and that stuff. I also feel like the "odd man out", but hey, this is the way we are. Don't feel like you need to adapt to the changing world. Be yourself. Get as far in your life as YOU want to, not what society wants. As long as you lead the life you want, that's all that should matter. Good luck!
