new school
ok. so. im 13 and im going into 8th grade. but im going to a new school next year and its really small only like 20 people in each grade. and im like really shy and i only talk to my friends, so how can i make new friends at my new school becuase im like to shy to go up to someone and say " hi, im melanie........."and like what would you say after that? whats your name? that just sounds so stupid. and i really want a boyfriend this year. i've never had one before and ya. the only guys who like me are the nerdy ones and im ugly so that doesn't really help either.

Well Im kinda like you. Instead of introducing yourself like in your example (its ok but i wouldnt do it at complete random), talk to the person next to you in a class like "Ugh, I hate this subject/Can you believe all this homework", etc. Just make little statements or start with a compliment. Join clubs and keep a positive attitude and be friendly!
For the boyfriend part, have self confidence. Im sure your not ugly! Dont be afraid to talk to the guys in your class. Just be yourself =)

Well first I want to say good luck because going to a new school is pretty hard. Thinking yourself as ugly wont get you anywhere as I know from experiences. To make friends join clubs that you are interested in, maybe some sports too. Make sure you remember to do your homework so that people wont think of you as being lazy or not smart. If you see someone drop something pick it up for them, if someone looks really thirsty (hot and sweaty) let them in front of you in the water fountain line. There are several ways to be friendly so that you make some friends. Loan someone your pencil or an eraser. It would help if you knew the answers to the teachers questions. Just remember that being nice is the best way to make friends. I hope I have helped you. Good luck!

well then be yourself as if you were with the people your confortable with. people will see your fun to be with and be your friends or you can just talk to somebody in one of your classes about something that happened that day (compliment them too)
and maybe your new friends could give you a makeover at a sleepover to atract some cute guys
