Michele answered Saturday June 23 2007, 2:57 pm: I think the only way you could work at fourteen is "under the table", meaning you get paid cash and not by check and you are not on the books.
I once worked at a hair salon at 14, and I washed hair and I got $1.oo per shampoo. (That was a long time ago.) Ask your parents, ask your parents friends, if any of them own companies, maybe they would be willing to pay you to clean up or something, Say you'll do anything, and look real enthusiastic. Stop by all of the stores in town, offer to help, say you'll run errands, dust, sweep, for (name a low price, so they'll go for it.) What about a newspaper route. I know they used to hire kids, even younger than 14, and you get tips.
Good luck to you.

-McDonalds
-Pizza Palors
-Local diners
-Amusement parks
-Mowing lawns
-Babysitting (don't know people with kids? put up flyers around your neighborhood. don't live in a neighbor hood? put up signs at public places in your nearest town.)
-Libraries [ Erinn_the_bamf's advice column | Ask Erinn_the_bamf A Question ]
ebilgir_ answered Saturday June 23 2007, 1:29 pm: you could mow people's lawns, etc.
You don't have to be a certain age to do that, you just have to know how to use a lawnmower. [ ebilgir_'s advice column | Ask ebilgir_ A Question ]
