orphans answered Friday June 22 2007, 9:25 pm: you shave up your legs, aka the opposite direction
because it cuts the hair when it goes up, giving it a closer shave
if you did it going down, it wouldnt cut it very efficiently or quickly [ orphans's advice column | Ask orphans A Question ]
LM answered Friday June 22 2007, 8:32 pm: I shave in the opposite direction. It's easier, cuts the hair closer to the surface of the skin, and it's less awkward. It can irritate very sensitive skin, so moisturize as soon as you can.
But if shaving in the same direction works better for you, then do it! Everyone's different, and shaving a certain way may be more comfortable for you. Do whatever irritates your skin the least.
