I mean, she probably doesn't go in the pool either, when she has her period. (She may not like tampons) She can just tell the kids to stop bothering you about going IN the water. She'll understand, and they'll whine a little, but they'll get over it.

Pads were not made to go into the water and after only seconds of being in the water you would find yourself in a rather uncomfortable position. The pad would soak up a large amount of water and you would not be able to take the pad off without walking through the house, dripping water from the pad everywhere. I understand that you are uncomfortable with tampons, but they are designed to be worn in the water. Have a close female friend or your mother help you out the first couple of times. When they are in properly, you don't even notice them. [ nonamecat's advice column | Ask nonamecat A Question ]
