Shaving my legs

Ok so all my friends are shaving their legs and i use hair removal cream, the problem is i want to shave but it hurts kind of and i feel like im punishing my self for being a girl or something.
Should i just put up with it or what? im 13 so i pretty much have to but im blond so I can avoid it for now, help!!!

well first see if your mom is okay
with it& if she is and you still want
to go it then have her help you the first
couple of times you do it& use good shaving
cream. hair removal cream is good for now
if your that scared to do it because sometimes
i use it in spots i cant get when i shave.
