when do you put in the detergents in the machine? it's my first time doing and i have no idea how...

Usually as the water is running into the machine you add your detergents then your clothes. Though I have seen people pour the detergents on the clothes, this is safe if there is no bleach in the contents.

When you start the water, put the detergent in. Then put in your clothes. Put in enough detergent to fit the load though so you don't put too much or too little soap.

Welcome to the wonderful world of doing laundry. ;-)
The instructions are on the back of the detergents you are using. They are usually pretty clear about everything.
There are some variations based on what kind of washer you use, so look inside the lid (since they usually print the instructions right inside the lid on top-loading washers)of the washer, or in the instructions if it is a front loading washing machine.
