why does drinking alcohol help my headaches?

it relieves stress, like an anti-depresent but i wouldnt recommend drinking it for that reason

I do not know. However, two reasons come to mind. 1) Alcohol can relieve some kinds of pain by relaxing muscles and numbing your brain's awareness. 2) If the headaches are stress-related, they can be eased with alcohol as it relaxes you, relieving your stress.

Alcohol can relieve pain and make you feel happy if taken in small quantities. If you drink too much, you'll wake up the next morning and have the biggest headache you'll ever have.
