1 year anniversary present on a low budget

my boyfriend and i are celebrating our 1 year anniversary in about a week and we both are low on cash right now. he has a surprise planned for me once he gets his first pay check from his new job, and i will do the same. we plan on seeing eachother that day, but i want to do atleast something to celebrate this important day.

what can i do that is not messy or expensive and he will like?

well you can bake him cookies, cook a romantic dinner for two, or make a scrap book and put pics or like if you have the movie ticket from your first date (hehe maybe make a copy cause you may want it).

Get him a silly gift that not only shows how much you care but shows that you love all the silly things you guys did during the year of knowing each other.
Buy something that symbolizes an inside joke maybe?
