If you're teasing it to get volume, apply a root volumizer, blowdry or scrunch it in with your fingers, & then backcomb your roots.

Unless you're doing it for some specific reason, I wouldn't do it. It's horrible on your hair.

BUT, If you want to do it anyway, take a comb and start at the ends of your hair, and run it upwards, rather than downwards. Continue until it almost resembles.. a rat nest, maybe?.. and style like desired.
