EasyPeasy answered Saturday June 16 2007, 3:41 pm: I've been warned by many dermatologists not to use these black head strips. You might occasionally get two small blackheads out, and that's it. Blackhead strips do more damage to your skin than you think. They peel off a lot of dead skin, perhaps skin that your body is not fully ready to get rid of yet. They can also strip your skin of it's natural oils, maybe causing it to produce more oils, which can lead to cause more blackheads.
I'd suggest you set up an appointment to get a mini facial and ask her what kind of routine/products she would recommend to keep your skin under control and HEALTHY. (After a quality facial, which doesn't mean at a hair salon, your skin should look and feel great.) [ EasyPeasy's advice column | Ask EasyPeasy A Question ]
killerface answered Saturday June 16 2007, 2:18 pm: Black head strips really do work. They don't damage your skin, they clean it. :] I get Biore blackhead nose strips for $6 a box, and there's like, 8 in there. You use them once every three days. I'm not completely sure about pore strips, though, because I've never had to use them. [ killerface's advice column | Ask killerface A Question ]
ariannekp answered Saturday June 16 2007, 1:32 pm: Yes black head strips do really work as long as you follow the directions. You can't use them more then every 4 or 5 days or they will expose skin that isn't ready yet (as in rip off to much skin). These strips are usually 3-8 dollars at any grocery or drug store. Pore strips are the exact same thing, just a nicer way to say the name.
