which grade in high school is it usually required to read Great Expectations by Charles Dickens?

It depends on what level of English you are in. I had to read it in English 3-4, which I took when I was a freshman. Some people at my school, though, don't take that until they are a sophomore.

It depends on your school district and state.

But it would usually be around 9th or 10th. If you read it in 11th or 12th, your school district probably sucks.

I read it in 9th.

It depends on your high school. Mine doesn't require it, but I'd probably say either 10th or 11th because I know schools around mine that read other Charles Dickens books in those grade levels. You can always ask one of your teachers or other students in your school.
